Heritage Museum of Orange County

On Friday, February 10th students in Kindergarten, First, Second and Third Grades will visit the Kellogg House. On this day they will learn about the Kellogg Family and what life was like in Orange County one hundred years ago. Some of the “hands- on” activities will be making butter, using a stereoscopic viewer, trying out a pump organ and dressing in period clothing .

Riley Farms “Living History Adventures”

On Wednesday, February 22nd students in Grades 5th through 8th will travel to Riley Farms. Upon arrival they will be placed in “townships”; checked for contraband; and rescued by Minutemen. After this excitement, they will visit many hands on stations. Following lunch, they will participate in a mock battle of the recreation of the 1775 Battle of St. George’s Tavern.

Registration Begins for the 2012-2013 Academic School Year

Registration for Carden Academy students for next year will begin on Monday, February 6th. Open registration will begin in March.

During the month of March we will also offer conference time for parents to review their child’s progress and to discuss the upcoming grade. Please contact the office if you would like a conference with your child’s teacher or to talk with Ms. Vanessa Stewart regarding any questions and concerns.

Courtney Fiduccia , Carden Academy 7th grade student, has been a competitive figure skater for several years. She skates as an individual as well as with two skating teams. Her synchronized skating team “Glacial Magic” is a team of 12 skaters who are all under the age of 12. They will be competing in several events that will lead up to the Pacific Coast/Midwestern Championships which will be held in Plymouth, Michigan at the end of January. We are happy to announce that Courtney’s team won a silver medal. Congratulations!.
